She makes her way through the small village square, having grabbed herbs, oils and salts, her basket overflowing. Cutting into a dark alley, she twists and turns around corners until she reaches an aged wooden door. Passing through the threshold, ducking to avoid drying herbs left by the door's frame. The room is flooded with the thick and viscous smells of salves, oils, and tinctures; herbs left to dry, hang in various assortments around the room. She opens a bottle drawing out its pungent liquid into a pipette and letting out one drop into her waiting cup.
